The Street Mask takes to the streets of Miguelturra on the second Saturday of carnival. Several hundred street masks take part in the non-competitive race organised by the Runners Association of Miguelturra in its 13th edition.

From 5:00 p.m. a large group of street masks, the Mayor of Miguelturra, Luis Ramón Mohíno, Councillor for Culture and Festivities, Carmen María Mohíno, President of the Cultural Association of Peñas, Raúl Domínguez, Major Masks 2024, Rafa and Mª Luisa, those of last year 2023 and other years, peñas and different costume groups gathered in the Constitution Square, Rafa and Mª Luisa, those of last year 2023 and other years, peñas and different fancy dress groups, to take the start in a central circuit, whose end was in the vicinity of the Palacio del Carnaval, the most important thing of this non-competitive race is to have fun and go in costume. This race brings back old memories of those years in which the carnival was prohibited and where the races were not for fun, but to avoid arrest by the night watchmen and the civil guard, in addition to the corresponding fine.

Once the race was over, the Carnival Palace served as a stage for the Our Lady of the Star Widows Association to distribute delicious chocolate and delicious cakes among the participants, and to regain strength to take part in the Zumba Fitnnes workshop given by “Nuria Sánchez”, who received a Carnival Mask for her involvement over the last few years.
