CMM TV Also celebrates the declaration of national tourist interest

The program Ancha es Castilla-La Mancha and the news programs of TV Castellano-Manchega broadcast live to celebrate the declaration of the Miguelturra Carnival of national tourist interest.

From the 2012 Elisa y Santos venue, which also serves as the meeting point for the Major Masks Peña, Castilla-La Mancha television, through its news programs and the program Ancha es Castilla-La Mancha, wanted to join in the celebration of our Carnival being declared a national tourist attraction.

Street Masks, representatives of the town’s various Peñas (groups), members of the Miguelturra Carnival Association, the Carnival King, and the Councilor for Festivities didn’t want to miss this brief prelude to the celebrations next Saturday, June 16th.

During the various broadcasts, we learned how to make one of our typical pan-fried fruit desserts: rosquillas. Meanwhile, our friend Octavio made us that delicious lemonade he makes, which we can enjoy every Monday during the pan-fried fruit competition.

The traditional trunk, where carnival costumes are still kept, was also present. Taking advantage of the fact that it was full of them, we acted out how to dress up our street masks, taking different items from the trunk and combining them to create the desired costume.

Finally, to conclude the program, the president of the Peñas, Raúl Domínguez, expressed his satisfaction with the declaration of the Miguelturra Carnival as a festival of national tourist interest, and Octavio sang us one of the many jokes sung during the carnival.
