II Edition Carnival Ambassadors

New ambassadors for the Miguelturra Carnival

José Antonio Maldonado, Castilla-La Mancha Media for his program ‘Wide is Castilla-La Mancha’ and the great Octavio Martín, new ambassadors of the Miguelturra Carnival.

On the morning of Tuesday, February 13, at the ‘Momo’ Carnival Museum and with the presence of the Mayor of the town, Luis Ramón Mohíno, the Councilor for Culture and Celebrations, Carmen María Mohíno and the President of the Carnival Peñas Cultural Association, Raúl Domínguez, three new ambassadors of the Miguelturra Carnival, received the Alhiguí of Honor

The national award has been given to the ‘weatherman’, José Antonio Maldonado, who in the year 2000, made the weather forecast from the Sierra de San Isidro of Miguelturra, taking advantage of his presence in the town as town crier that year.

The programme Wide is Castilla-La Mancha of Castilla-La Mancha Media, for the continuous diffusion year after year of our carnival in this programme.

The great Octavio Martín, our greatest coplillero, has received the Alhiguí de Honor Local, for his lifelong dedication to his Carnival, to the Carnival of Miguelturra.
