The night of Saturday 16th December sees the start of the Churriego PreCarnival at the Palacio del Carnaval.

Organised by the Peña Los Cansaliebres, Miguelturra Town Council and the Provincial Government of Ciudad Real, with the sponsorship of Onda Cero and Toyota Ciudad Real, the PreCarnival of Miguelturra began with the performance of the Cadiz comparsa “Los Esclavos” of Miguel Ángel García Argüez “El Chapa” with music by Raúl Cabrera Fernández.

Once again, the Palacio del Carnaval was packed, this time to enjoy the comparsa that won second place in the COAC of Cádiz 2023, offering a repertoire made up of their performance in the Cádiz 2023 competition and the best of the anthology of Chapa and the sadly deceased Juan Carlos Aragón.

Both the Town Council of Miguelturra and the Peña Los Cansaliebres, thanked the group for their visit and presented them with a commemorative pottery of the Carnival of Miguelturra.

The end of the act was extremely emotional, La Comparsa Los Esclavos and La Peña los Cansaliebres, interpreted the Credo of Juan Carlos Aragón putting an end to this endearing act.
