On the afternoon of Thursday, February 23, the book “The update of the old churriego carnival” was presented in the CERE exhibition hall, a work by Federico Valero and Antonio Vallejo.

The event was attended by the Mayor, Laura Arriaga, the Councilor for Festejos, Diego Rodríguez, the Councilor for Culture, Virginia Martín, different members of the Municipal Corporation, King of Carnival, Serafín Delgado, President of the Peñas Association, Raúl Domíguez, as well as the Major Masks of 2022 and 2023.

José Ramón González, was the master of ceremonies and in charge of the presentation of the co-authors of this new publication.

A book that covers the carnival from 1979 to 1984 according to the experience lived by Antonio Vallejo and Federico Valero during these years. Both Antonio and Federico were members and founders of the Cultural Association of Peñas del Carnaval, Antonio Vallejo being its first president.
