Carnival returns to the streets of Miguelturra

It’s Carnival again, almost two years have passed for the streets of Miguelturra to be filled with color and joy again.

The proclamation, as is customary at the Miguelturra Carnival, has been organized by the Peña Los Segadores and animated by the charanga el Alhiguí.

Valeria Ros, has been in charge of kicking off the most popular festivals in the town, the Carnival.

With the presence of the mayor of the town, Laura Arriaga, councilor for festivities, Diego Rodríguez, Major Masks of 2020, Mª Carmen Céspedes and Manuel González, who will be in this year 2022, Gloria Cruz and Antonio Gómez, president of the Peñas Association, Raúl Domínguez, King of Carnival, Serafín Delgado, Mª Jesús Villaverde, vice-president of the Provincial Council of Ciudad Real and members of the Municipal Corporation, began the proclamation of Carnival 2022.

The act began with the intervention of the mayor Laura Arriaga, who showed her joy at the return of the carnival to the streets of Miguelturra, always respecting the limitations due to the health situation, announcing the return of the Summer Carnival for June 18.

Valeria Ros, humorist, stand-up comedian and presenter, reminded us of various criers of the Miguelturreño carnival, made a brief review of the history of the Carnival party in Miguelturra and, above all, joked and made those attending the proclamation have a great time.

Once the proclamation was over, he began his show “Mature”, a monologue with which he connected perfectly with the audience throughout the 70 minutes that the show lasted.
