“Eme de Miguelturra” by Rubén Lucas García from Murcia, will be the image of the Miguelturra Carnival 2023 as the winner of the poster contest.

He will receive his award on February 17 during the celebration of the proclamation. It will be the third time that he has taken the stage of the Carnival Palace and consecutively in the last two years to collect his well-deserved prize, 1000 euros and carnival ceramics.

The Castilla-La Mancha tourist office in Madrid has been the setting chosen for the presentation of the Miguelturra Carnival poster.

The presentation was given by the Mayor of Miguelturra, Laura Arriaga, accompanied by María Jesús Villaverde, vice president of the Provincial Council of Ciudad Real, Diego Rodríguez, councilor for festivities and Raúl Domínguez, president of the Association of Peñas del Carnaval.

The winning poster is a true illustration of the Miguelturra carnival tradition and has been chosen from among 117 posters submitted to the contest, of which 30 finalists were shortlisted.

The jury was made up of Diego Rodríguez, councilor for celebrations, Raúl Domínguez, president of the Peñas Association, and Emilio Ruiz, graphic designer, with Ángela Sánchez acting as secretary.

The act has not lacked street masks, as good ambassadors of our carnival.
