Rosalia, Monica Naranjo and Aladdin, triumph in Your Mask Sounds Familiar

VIII Edition of the Your Mask Sounds Familiar contest

Once again the Carnival Palace is filled to witness a new event of the Miguelturra Carnival.

At 7:30 p.m. the event organized by Peña el Puntillo began, which featured imitations of the likes of Rosalia, Beyoncé, Lola Indigo, Cheer, Rihanna, Mónica Naranjo, Camela or soundtracks such as Aladdin.

The jury in this edition was made up of Mercedes Espinosa, Tamara Arenas and Julián Margotón.

The contest is divided into three categories: Children-Youth, Individual Adult and Adult Groups, with the prizes as follows:

INFANT-YOUTH CATEGORY

  • 1st Prize, Vega Barahona García for her imitation of Rosalia, theme “With height”
  • 2nd Prize, Sofía Rojas, Paula Fernández, Claudia Céspedes, Ainoha Pérez, Marina Pérez and Olivia Herance, for their imitation of Beyoncé, theme “Ladies singles”
  • 3rd Prize, Patricia Bastante Arévalo, for her imitation of Lola Indigo

Three school supplies prizes valued at 50 euros each, sponsored by MyPaper.

INDIVIDUAL ADULT CATEGORY

  • 1st Prize 150 euros, David Méndez Mendoza for his imitation of Mónica Naranjo
  • 2nd Prize 100 euros, Emilio Rodríguez Sánchez-Herrera for his imitation of Rihanna, theme “Where have you been”
  • 3rd Prize 50 euros, Mª Carmen Corral León for her imitation of Cheer, theme “Strong Enough”

ADULT GROUPS CATEGORY

  • 1st Prize, 200 euros, Gisela, Estívaliz Cativiela and Francisco Rodrigo, for their staging of the Aladdin Soundtrack
  • 2nd Prize, 150 euros, Tamara Navarro and Iván Molina, for their imitation of Camela, theme “When Love is Missing”
