In reality, it had been brewing for months as an idea that bounced back and forth among a group of friends. During each outing, they fantasized about experiencing the Churriego Carnival from the inside, starting at minute one of the Opening Ceremony and ending with the last second of Pi\u00f1ata Sunday. They also planned months of preparations, choreography, sewing, and rehearsals\u2026  <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">One of the main premises when presenting is none other than the intention and initiative to promote one of the emblematic figures of our Carnival: The Street Mask.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The project is off to a successful start and will take place during the 2014 Carnival, when the Pe\u00f1a Los Rocheros group will take to the streets with around 60 people in the Pi\u00f1ata Sunday Parade, presenting their &#8220;Cortejo Goyesco&#8221; (Goyesque Procession), a <em>Spanish-made<\/em> production influenced by the aesthetics of the 1800s and the paintings of Francisco de Goya.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In 2015, 70 people performed \u201cThe Entourage of the Sun\u201d, a production of clear Egyptian inspiration surrounded by fantasy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It will be in its third year, 2016, when 75 people will stage the production &#8220;The Gardens of Marie Antoinette&#8221;, in a realistic nod to the queen consort of France and the Gardens of Versailles.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In recent years, they have been accompanied by the \u201cCharanga Those Who Never Fail\u201d, who have delighted us and made us dance with every chord.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With these initiatives, Los Rocheros have won local awards in the comparsas category, taking these songs to other locations where they have also received recognition.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During their first three years, they won the Carnival Museum Costume Contest award in the women&#8217;s category.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Their special day is the first Sunday of Carnival, where they hold a communal meal in Doctor Fleming Park, all dressed up in the same theme, and spend the afternoon going from street to street with their Charanga.<\/p>\n<h4>The Street Mask<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To this day, together with the Pe\u00f1a Los Cansaliebres and the unconditional support of all the other clubs, they have managed to place our Street Mask in the place it deserves and make the younger people experience it with the mask on, the joke and the savoir-faire that characterizes it with the emblematic &#8220;I bet you don&#8217;t know me?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To this end, they hold a street mask gathering on Monday afternoon, which year after year attracts a larger number of masks and people on Carnaval Street. As a final culmination of a masked afternoon and evening, they offer a snack at their headquarters to recharge their batteries and continue the party.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On Monday morning, they are in charge of organizing the traditional Carnival gastronomic competition, and of course, the sweetest contest of the week: the Frying Pan Fruit Contest.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dressed as chefs and wearing yellow aprons, they welcome the participants and set up tables with delicious sweets doughnuts, wafers, borrachuelas, and roscapi\u00f1a&#8230; that the lucky members of the jury will savor, scoring and awarding prizes to the best.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Once the competition is over, the public will enjoy delicious traditional dishes from the Miguelturra Carnival.<\/p>\n<h4>Very diverse activities<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In addition to these ten days of passion for our carnival, and throughout the summer, they participate in organizing workshops for teenagers. These workshops are known as &#8220;Enchanted Nights of&#8230; Getting to Know You&#8221;, organized by the Local Youth Council and Youth Center of Miguelturra. Doctor Fleming Park hosts two activities in which they participate intensively: the Association Fair and the Pe\u00f1as meal during the Patron Saint Festival in September. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Since the first year, they&#8217;ve been organizing a Halloween party at a local venue. Everyone comes dressed in the most terrifying costume possible, enjoying a great evening.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To close out the last night of the year, together with the Pe\u00f1a Los Cansaliebres, they organize a Grand New Year&#8217;s Eve Cotillion at another venue in the town. Every year, they manage to hang the &#8220;sold out&#8221; sign.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the Fairs and Patron Saint Festivals, together with this same Pe\u00f1a, they set up a booth at the fair, where you can enjoy good music during these days with the members of both Pe\u00f1as.<\/p>\n<p>From this Club, it is our intention to prolong the excellent work that all the Veteran Clubs have been doing throughout all these years and to continue living with them and their unstoppable example, experiencing the BEST CARNIVAL IN THE REGION.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>\n<style
