Loren de la Calle, Vice President of the Campo de Calatrava Association; Rom\u00e1n Rivero, Mayor of <a style=\"font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; color: inherit;\" href=\"https:\/\/carnavaldemiguelturra.es\/en\/\">Miguelturra<\/a>; Esmeralda Mu\u00f1oz, Councilor for Culture; and representatives of the Carnival Clubs Association, a building was inaugurated that will house the most important events of the Churriego Carnival and the Momo Museum.<\/p>\n<h4>Momo, god of poets and writers<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>Dios Griego Momo<\/strong>, personifies the sarcasm, the intelligent mockery, the jokes, the humorous critic, the jokes and the ironic sharpness, is the god of the poets and writers. He was the son of Hypnos, God of Sleep and Nyx, Goddess of Night. He was exiled from Mount Olympus for his mockery and criticism of other gods, as punishment he was forced to cross the land of mortals to fill it with feasts and pleasures.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He is depicted dressed as a harlequin, wearing a mask that he lifts from his own face or that of others. He carries a scepter ending in a grotesque head, a symbol of madness. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Momo, is a museum that contemplates the history of the carnival of our locality, also traveling by the most important carnivals of the national territory and of the world. It is one of the few Spanish museums dedicated entirely to the Carnival.<\/p>\n<h4>Remodeling and adaptation<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In 2015, a renovation project called &#8220;Caress the Carnival&#8221; will begin. This project involves the participation of the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha, the Provincial Council of Ciudad Real, the Association for the Development of Campo de Calatrava, and the Miguelturra City Council. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On January 19, 2016, the museum will reopen its doors after a renovation. Various multimedia systems have also been incorporated to help visitors understand the Carnival festivities. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The museum can be visited during the <a style=\"font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; color: inherit;\" href=\"https:\/\/carnavaldemiguelturra.es\/en\/\">Miguelturra Carnival<\/a>. Group visits can be arranged through the Miguelturra City Council&#8217;s Festival Department. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n\n<style type=\"text\/css\" data-created_by=\"avia_inline_auto\"
