A large group of street masks, members of the local Pe\u00f1as, Antonio and M\u00aa Paz, older masks from 2019 and other years, Seraf\u00edn Delgado, King of the Carnival, Ra\u00fal Dom\u00ednguez, President of the Miguelturra Carnival Association of Pe\u00f1as, Diego Rodr\u00edguez, Councilor for Celebrations, members of the Municipal Corporation and the Mayor of Miguelturra, Laura Arriega, made up the delegation to accompany the new Major Masks of Carnival 2020.<\/p>\n<h4>Monument to the street mask<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The spontaneity that characterizes the Churriego carnival also played a role on this grand day. An improvised monument to the street mask delighted the assembled crowd and served as a photocall to immortalize the event. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The delegation paraded towards the meeting point for Manolo and M\u00aa Carmen, the <a style=\"font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; color: inherit;\" href=\"https:\/\/carnavaldemiguelturra.es\/en\/agrupaciones\/pena-los-cansaliebres\/\">Pe\u00f1a los Cansaliebres<\/a> were in charge of the organization. Arriving at the meeting point,&nbsp; family and friends accompanied M\u00aa Carmen and Manolo, who &nbsp;excitedly received the affection of the participants.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The next stopping point was the headquarters of the Pe\u00f1a los Cansaliebres, who prepared a great aperitif, which served as a snack for a long afternoon-night of emotions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Around 9:00 p.m., the delegation arrived at the CERE and a packed Carnival Palace received M\u00aa Carmen C\u00e9spedes Pastor and Manuel Gonz\u00e1lez Beldad, in their proclamation as Major Masks of the Miguelturra Carnival.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After the intervention of the mayor of the town, Laura Arriaga, the new older masks took the stage for the imposition of bands that accredit them as Miguelturra Carnival Masks and the corresponding diplomas, as well as the traditional bouquet of flowers, wine and the commemorative ceramic mask of Carnival. The new pair of major masks, very moved, thanked Eli and Manoli for the tremendous support they&#8217;ve received over the past few days and presented them with a lovely memento.<\/p>\n<h4>Emotional moments<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Pe\u00f1a los Rocheros, the group to which M\u00aa Carmen belongs, presented the new pair of major masks with a commemorative plaque. Manolo and M\u00aa Carmen&#8217;s family also took the stage at the Carnival Palace to present them with a souvenir of their first act as representatives of the Miguelturra Carnival: a framed photograph taken by their good friend Berna Mart\u00ednez during the group dinner held last Saturday. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This year our major masks from 1987 and 1989, Celedonio Gonz\u00e1lez and Teresa D\u00edaz, Manuel Casas and Visitaci\u00f3n Heredia, renewed their bands that credit them as Major Masks of the Miguelturra Carnival.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Antonio de Toro and Estrella Y\u00e9benes, major masks from 2003, were in charge of giving them the traditional hat and apron of the Major Masks Pe\u00f1a that they will use on Monday in the fruit in a frying pan contest.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A night of emotions that ended with the tribute to the Ham Pe\u00f1a for its 50th Anniversary, receiving the Alhigu\u00ed of Honor and accrediting diploma, and broadcasting a projection with photographs of the pe\u00f1a&#8217;s journey through the Miguelturra Carnival.<\/p>\n<p>Manolo, M\u00aa Carmen, congratulations, you
