After the first few hours of the day, when the streets were filled with masks, costumes, and colors, the center of the carnival moved to Spanish Square. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hundreds of people gathered in costume to accompany the new <strong>Major Masks<\/strong> of the Miguelturra Carnival, all organized by the <strong>Pe\u00f1a Los Cansaliebres<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h5>Collection and parade<\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The procession first headed to the home of the new <strong>Major Masks<\/strong>, Berna and Esther, who offered the first refreshments. The next stop was the headquarters of the <strong>Pe\u00f1a los Cansaliebres<\/strong>, where they offered a second refreshment to replenish their strength before heading to the Carnival Palace. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A packed Carnival Palace awaited the new pair of Major Masks for their proclamation. The ceremony began with the renewal of the bands of the Major Masks from <strong>2002<\/strong> to <strong>2007<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<h4>Renewal of Bands<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Antonio de Toro<\/strong>, <strong>Estrella Y\u00e9benes<\/strong>, <strong>Casimiro Donate<\/strong>, <strong>Eufrasia Delgado<\/strong>, <strong>Resti Corral<\/strong> and <strong>Santa Mu\u00f1oz<\/strong> were some of our great masks that have received their well-deserved band renewal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The municipal and carnival authorities then took the stage. On one side were the mayor of the town, <strong>Luis Ram\u00f3n Moh\u00edno<\/strong>; the councilor for culture and festivities, <strong>Carmen Mar\u00eda Moh\u00edno<\/strong>; and the councilor for tourism, <strong>Miguel \u00c1ngel Garc\u00eda Llorente<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The carnival representation included the President of the Association of Pe\u00f1as, <strong>Ra\u00fal Dom\u00ednguez<\/strong>, Carnival King, <strong>Seraf\u00edn Delgado<\/strong>, President of the Pe\u00f1a Los Cansaliebres, <strong>Alberto Soria<\/strong> and the 2024 Senior Masks, <strong>Rafael G\u00f3mez and M.\u00aa Luisa Oca\u00f1a<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Thus arrived the most anticipated moment for all those present, when the bands were placed on the throne and the certificates certifying the 2025 Carnival <strong>Major Masks<\/strong> and ceramics were presented to the new and beloved couple: <strong>Bernardino Mart\u00ednez<\/strong> and <strong>M.\u00aa Esther Mart\u00ednez<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Esther Mart\u00ednez<\/strong> and <strong>Berna Mart\u00ednez<\/strong> have been proclaimed the 52nd <strong>Major Masks<\/strong> Couple of the <strong>Miguelturra Carnival<\/strong>.<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Berna and Esther<\/strong> wanted to thank the seamstresses at their &#8220;Taller Clandestino&#8221; (Clandestine Workshop). The workshop, which included Eli, Lola, Pili, Mari, and Encarni, received a ceramic piece from the 2025 Miguelturra Carnival. The event concluded with a large family photo with officials, friends, and family members of the 2025 Major Masks.  <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">But the night didn&#8217;t end there, as it was time for the dancing. The Carnival Palace and the Workers&#8217; Center were the venues.
