Since Saturday, January 24, those who will be the major masks of Carnival 2026, Juan Carlos and Miguel Angel, are already the major masks of the Peña Major Masks.

As tradition dictates, the older predecessor masks welcomed the new ones and celebrated with the traditional chocolate in the Miguelturra Workers’ Centre.

Next Saturday, February 14 at the Carnival Palace, Juan Carlos and Miguel Ángel will receive the affection of the people of Miguelturra and will officially be Major Masks of Carnival 2026. Today they have received it from their colleagues, who will serve as their guide during the ten days that the churriego carnival lasts.

Juan Carlos and Miguel Angel will succeed Berna and Esther as Major Masks of the Miguelturra Carnival.

A night of emotions not only for our next Greater Masks, but also Mª Paz, Mayor Mask of 2019, received the affection of the entire club for her 66th birthday. Mª Paz, time doesn’t pass for you, congratulations.

A beautiful tradition that is here to stay

Once the event was over at the Centro Obrero and as has become traditional in recent years, the Carnival Monument received a visit from Juan Carlos and Miguel Angel in the company of Berna, Esther and Major Masks from previous years.

Mascarona and Alhiguí received the delegation, giving their approval so that Juan Carlos and Miguel Angel can be proclaimed Major Masks of the Miguelturra Carnival 2026. On February 14 at the Carnival Palace, they will receive their bands that will officially accredit them as Major Masks.
