Rules of the XXXIV Frying Pan Fruit Contest
Monday, February 27, 2017, at 12:00 p.m. Organized by Peña “Los Rocheros”
Each participant will be given a bottle of oil for every two modalities presented and one more bottle for roscapiña.
Each contestant will present a plate with 6 units with each of the two specialties they are participating in (borrachuelas, flowers, wafers and donuts). Only those contestants who attend personally providing name, surname and ID will be admitted, registration through third parties will not be accepted.
The following categories are established:
Roscapiña, Flores, Barquillos, Rosquillas y Borrachuelas
Awards
First prizes in each category, sponsored by the local Natural Chef Cooking School, included two cooking courses, valued at €60 for each category.
Second Prizes for Roscapiña and Flores, sponsored by the local Colmao, with two batches of products from said establishment, valued at 40 euros each.
The second prizes for wafers and doughnuts will be sponsored by Hecon, the local construction tool company, with two lots of traditional products, valued at €40 each.
Second Prize for Borrachuelas, will receive €40, sponsored by the Excmo. Miguelturra Town Hall.
All winners will receive a gift sponsored by the Hon. Miguelturra City Council and a product case sponsored by La Gaditana.
The pieces must be brought home-made, presentation and tasting will be rewarded.
To participate, contestants must prove they are of legal age.
Once the contest is over and the prizes have been awarded, the entire audience will be treated to a tasting of the contest products and a tasty lemonade prepared by our friend Octavio.
