Rafa and María Luisa will be the Major Masks of the Miguelturra Carnival 2024
On February 10 it will be announced at the Carnival Palace.
On Wednesday, November 8, the plenary hall of the City Council was the setting chosen for the presentation of the Major Masks of the Miguelturra 2024 Carnival.
The Councilor for Culture and Festivities, Carmen María Mohino, accompanied by the King of Carnival, Serafín Delgado, the President of the Association of Peñas, Raúl Domínguez and the Major Masks of 2023, José Luis Rivas, Encarni Sánchez, Leandro Arévalo and Charo Sánchez, has presented what will be the 51st pair of Major Masks of the Miguelturra Carnival, Rafael Gómez Rodrigo and María Luisa Ocaña Peco.

Rafa is 57 years old, a sales agent by profession, and a keen road and mountain bike enthusiast. He is married to María Luisa, 56, who works for a service company. Walking is one of his favorite pastimes, along with family gatherings. They have a daughter in common, Marta.
An excellent carnival couple, who continues to preserve the tradition of our carnival and its most representative figure, the Street Mask, joking with their neighbors by shouting “You don’t know me!”
On February 10th, at the Carnival Palace, they will receive the affection of all of Miguelturra for their good work and great humor. They will be proclaimed the Major Masks of the Miguelturra Carnival, a festival declared of National Tourist Interest.
