The activities for the 2019 Miguelturra Carnival, the first to be declared a National Tourist Interest, are now known.

At around 10:20 a.m. on Friday, February 22, the 2019 Carnival program was presented in the City Hall’s plenary hall.

The event was presided over by the town’s mayor, Victoria Sobrino, in the plenary hall of Miguelturra Town Hall. Also in attendance were the Councilor for Festivals, Diego Rodríguez; the president of the peñas (clubs), Raúl Domíguez; the King of Carnival, Serafín Delgado; the 2019 Carnival’s major masks, Orestes and Mª Carmen; and the 2019 Carnival’s future major masks, Antonio and Mª Paz.

The Fuga concert at the Carnival Palace is one of this year’s major new features. It will be held on the same day as the opening speech, starting at midnight.
