“It’s not goodbye, it’s see you next year” – first prize for photography at the 2026 carnival
Francisco José Arévalo Ramos wins first prize in photography at the 2026 Carnival
Results of the XXVII Photography Contest of the Miguelturra Carnival 2026.
The jury, meeting at the Casa de la Capellanía on April 20th, and composed of the president of the Association of Clubs, Diego Rodríguez Tercero; the councilor for Citizen Participation, Caridad Sánchez Ruiz; the 2026 Senior Masks, Miguel Ángel Ruiz Navas and Juan Carlos Pérez Ramírez; the 2025 Exemplary Churriegos, Ángela Mohino Toulet and Francisco Angulo Sánchez; as well as the local photographers Cristina Romero Navarro and Encarnación López García, with Inmaculada Pérez Abellán acting as secretary, adopted the following decision:
First: To award the first prize consisting of 300 euros and Carnival Ceramics, to the work entitled “It’s not a goodbye, it’s a see you next year” presented by Francisco José Arévalo Ramos.
Second: To award the second prize, consisting of 200 euros and Carnival Ceramics, to the work entitled “Reflections” presented by Carlos Jesús Muñoz Palacios.
All the prizes of the XXVII Miguelturra Carnival Photography Contest 2026 have been sponsored by the Miguelturra City Council.
A total of 26 works have been submitted to this year’s competition and will be on display next week.
