The Alhiguí de Honor trophy returns to AC El Burleta of Campo de Criptana
46th National Piñata Sunday Contest
Sunday 22 February brought the Miguelturra Carnival —a festival declared to be of National Tourist Interest— to a close, with this year’s celebrations blessed with excellent weather. The streets, packed with people, provided the perfect setting for an extraordinary ‘Piñata Sunday’ parade, which went on until well past midnight.
The AC El Burleta from Campo de Criptana, with “Mongolia, The Empire of the Blue Sky”, once again won the Alhiguí de Honor and the special prize in the float category. La Corchea from Pedro Muñoz were the winners in the dance troupe category with “Shake Your Booty to the Beat of La Corchea”. In the murgas category, first prize went once again to Porzuna, with La Unión and their tribute to “Mancha Manchega, Vine and Winery”.
