Juan Carlos and Miguel Angel will be the major masks of the 2026 Miguelturra Carnival

On February 14th will be his proclamation at the Carnival Palace

On Tuesday, October 20, the City Hall’s plenary hall was the chosen setting for the presentation of the Major Masks of the 2026 Miguelturra Carnival.

The Councilor for Culture and Festivities, Carmen María Mohíno, accompanied by the King of Carnival, Serafín Delgado, the President of the Association of Peñas, Diego Rodríguez, and the 2025 Major Masks, Berna Martínez and Esther Martínez, has presented the 53rd pair of Major Masks of the Miguelturra Carnival, Juan Carlos Pérez Ramírez and Miguel Ángel Ruiz Navas.

Juan Carlos is 56 years old, a labor relations specialist, and the owner of the Colmao de Miguelturra. A nature, history, antiques, and art enthusiast, he is also a food and wine enthusiast.

Miguel Ángel is 55 years old and works as an administrator at a professional association. He belongs to the Cineforum Miguelturra Association, with cinema as one of his greatest passions. He loves music, art, and history, and is also a member of the Malastardes Association.

Both belong to the Peña la Cabra, making an excellent carnival couple closely linked to our carnival and who will become even more so with the distinction of Major Masks of the Miguelturra Carnival.

On February 14th, at the Carnival Palace, they will receive the affection of all of Miguelturra for their good work and their involvement with the Churriego Carnival. On this day, they will receive their bands as the Major Masks of the Miguelturra Carnival, a festival declared of National Tourist Interest.
