The Miguelturra Town Hall’s Festivals Department has announced the name of the person who will kick off the 2026 carnival celebrations. The town crier for the Miguelturra carnival, a Festival of National Tourist Interest, will be the comedian Álvaro Casares from Vallecas.

Álvaro Casares, born in Vallecas (Madrid) and of Manchegan descent, is a comedian and content creator. He went viral during the pandemic and has over a million followers on social media.

The Miguelturra Carnival has already announced who will be the Major Masks and the town crier for the 2026 carnivals, declared of National Tourist Interest.

In the coming days, we will also find out the winning poster for 2026 and we will have the ingredients to start the most important festival in the town, which will begin on February 13 with Álvaro Casares and his inaugural proclamation of the 2026 Carnival.
