What don’t you know me? poster for the 2026 Carnival
The work of Sebastián Casanova Fábrega, from Castellón but based in Madrid, will be the image of Carnival 2026
What don’t you know me? it is the winning work of the 2026 Carnival Announcer Contest and will be the image of the Miguelturra Carnival declared of National Tourist Interest.
The jury on this occasion was composed of Lorena Rosales Castillo, graphic designer, Virginia Gómez Navarro, graphic designer, Emilio José Ruiz Muñoz, graphic designer and Diego Rodríguez Tercero, President of the Association of Carnival Clubs of Miguelturra, with Esmeralda Muñoz Sánchez, coordinator of culture and festivities, acting as secretary.
On Monday, December 22, the jury decided that from the shortlisted works, What don’t you know me? would be the winning work of this competition, endowed with a single prize of 1,000 euros and a souvenir of the event.
The finalist works will be exhibited at the Casa de Chaplainía during the month of January.
Sebastián Casanova Fábrega was born in Vinaròs in 1981, although he currently resides in Madrid. He holds a degree in Fine Arts from the Polytechnic University of Valencia and a degree in Advertising and Public Relations from the Jaume I University of Castellón. While pursuing his studies, he received scholarships to continue his education in the United States on two occasions: Oklahoma for advertising and San Francisco for Fine Arts.
As a personal challenge, he enjoys participating in various contests and events. He has twice won the Vinaròs Carnival poster contest (of regional interest), as well as the Holy Week poster contest. He has also been a finalist in other contests such as the Fallas of Benicarló.
But from now on, it will be the Miguelturra Carnival that he appreciates the most and of which he feels most proud (as he himself tells us), because it is his first national award.
What don’t you know me? it represents the traditional street mask and the figure of a child in his children’s carnival under a shower of confetti, with a very traditional background such as the Torre Gorda.
As the winner of the contest, he will collect his well-deserved prize during the Inaugural Proclamation of the 2026 Carnivals on February 13.
Congratulations.
