Javier Ruiz donates his town crier’s outfit to the Carnival Museum
The costume of the 2024 town crier, Javier Ruiz, is now at the Carnival Museum.
Tuesday the 13th, a good day for the costume of Javier Ruiz, the former town crier of the 2024 Carnival, to go down in history and become part of the ‘MOMO’ Carnival Museum.
Accompanied by the Mayor of Miguelturra, Luis Ramón Mohíno, president of the Association of Peñas, Raúl Domínguez, councilor for tourism, Miguel Angel García, king of the Carnival, Serafín Delgado, main mask of 2025, Berna Martínez, main masks of 2024, Rafael Gómez and Mª Luisa Ocaña, representatives of the Municipal Corporation and the creator of the costume worn by Javier, Mª Carmen León.
García thanked Javier for his thoughtfulness regarding the Miguelturra Carnival and all those who came to join him for this emotional event, emphasizing that the costume will be housed in a privileged location within the museum.
For his part, Javier Ruiz stated that the 2024 proclamation was a very special and beautiful event that, in a way, changed his life, since he has experienced the Churriego carnival with his parents from a very young age and has been a radio professional for more than twenty years.
He also wanted to thank Mª Carmen for her work as designer and seamstress of the costume, highlighting the merit of this beautiful work.
Mohíno concluded the event by thanking Javier for his initiative, which fosters the growth of the Museum and enriches it, leaving it on display for future generations to contemplate.
The event concluded with strong applause and recognition for the work of Mª Carmen León, the dress designer and seamstress.
