“Alhiguí” poster for the 2025 Carnivals
The work of Bernardo Ballesteros Sánchez, based in Miguelturra, will once again be the image of Carnival 2025
The traditional “Alhiguí” is once again the protagonist in the poster contest, led by Bernardo Ballesteros Sánchez and his work “Alhiguí”, as winner of the 2025 Carnival Announcer Contest and which will be the image of the Miguelturra Carnival declared of Interest National Tourist.
The jury met on Tuesday, January 21 and was formed on this occasion by the graphic designers Lorena Rosales, Virginia Gómez Navarro and Emilio José Ruiz Muñoz, the President of the Association of Peñas del Carnaval de Miguelturra, Raúl Domínguez Donate and the King of the Carnival, Serafín Delgado, acting as secretary Marcial González Rivero, coordinator of the Culture Area, decided that of the hundred works presented to the contest and of the 17 works preselected, “Alhiguí” was the winning work of this contest, endowed with a single prize of 1,000 euros and a souvenir of the contest.
The finalist works are exhibited in the House of Culture.
Bernardo Ballesteros Sánchez, born in Membrilla (Ciudad Real), resides in Miguelturra and is a graphic designer, photographer and Community Manager, repeats the award since last year he was also the winner of the contest with his work “Sardinaaas”. He has also made various collaborations on the local radio station.
As the winner of the contest, he will collect his well-deserved prize during the Inaugural Proclamation of the 2025 Carnivals on February 28.
