II Miguelturra Carnival Cultural Days
Conferences, exhibitions, children’s workshop on fried fruit and dramatised visits.
On Tuesday 23rd January, the II Miguelturra Carnival Cultural Days were presented in the town hall of the Town Hall.
The conference will be held from 2 to 4 February and has been presented by the councillor for culture and festivities, Carmen María Mohíno, the president of the Peñas del Carnaval Cultural Association, Raúl Domínguez and the director of the conference, Francisco M. Peco Díaz.
After the success of the days held last year, which dealt with the historical part of the carnival and which included the interventions of Esmeralda Muñoz, Jorge Francisco Jiménez, Francisco M. Peco and Berna Martínez. This year they return with conferences, talks and round tables about the Miguelturra Carnival, where representatives of the churriegas clubs and different people closely related to our carnival will talk about the past, present and future of the most important festival in the town.
The most typical of the festive season, fruit in a frying pan, also returns with a children’s masterclass on Saturday 3 February at 12.30 p.m. at the CERE, where the little ones will have a great time smeared in flour, under the guidance of Chef Rocío Arroyo.
Dramatized visits with Flauti Flauti Teatro are back
Finally, we will enjoy some new dramatized visits whose staging will be carried out by Flauti Flauti Teatro. There will be three sessions that will be held from Friday February 2 to Sunday 4, on Friday afternoon from 8:30 p.m., while on Saturday and Sunday it will be from 12:30 p.m.
Both Carmen María and Raúl have shown their support and satisfaction for the celebration of this conference, thanking Francisco for the great work he is doing, in an unselfish and totally altruistic way.
Francisco also thanked the head of Culture and Festivities, Carmen María Mohíno, and the president of the Peñas del Carnaval Cultural Association, Raúl Domínguez, for the support received so that these days can see the light of day during the pre-Carnival of 2024.
Finally, Francisco, also had words of thanks to the University of Castilla-La Mancha and the Centre for Research and Musical Documentation of the UCLM, for their collaboration in the development of this conference, which serves to enrich and learn even more about the festival par excellence of Miguelturra.
