Since Saturday, January 27, those who will be major masks of Carnival 2024, Rafa Gómez and Mª Luisa Ocaña, are already from the Major Masks Peña.

As tradition dictates, the older predecessor masks welcomed the new ones and celebrated with the traditional chocolate in the Miguelturra Workers’ Centre.

This peña has the peculiarity that only people who have been proclaimed major masks of the Miguelturra Carnival can belong.

Mascarona and Alhiguí meet those who will be major masks in 2024

Once the event was over, Rafa and Mª Luisa, along with a group of major masks, visited the carnival monument. Mascarona and Alhiguí received the group by welcoming them. Subsequently, and once the presentations had been made, they gave their consent so that Rafa and Mª Luisa could receive their distinction as major masks of the Miguelturra Carnival.

Next Saturday 10th February at the Carnival Palace, Rafa and Mª Luisa will receive the affection of the people of Miguelturra, being officially Major Masks of Carnival 2024. Today they have received it from their colleagues, who will serve as their guide during the ten days that the churriego carnival lasts.

Rafa and Mª Luisa, will succeed Leandro, Charo, José Luis and Ercani as Major Masks of the Carnival of Miguelturra.
