Since Saturday, January 24, the older masks of Carnival 2025, Berna and Esther, are now members of the Peña Major Masks.

As tradition dictates, the older predecessor masks welcomed the new ones and celebrated with the traditional chocolate in the Miguelturra Workers’ Centre.

Next Saturday, March 1st, at the Carnival Palace, Berna and Esther will receive the affection of the people of Miguelturra and will officially be named the Major Masks of the 2025 Carnival. Today they have received it from their colleagues, who will serve as their guide during the ten days that the churriego carnival lasts.

Berna and Esther will succeed Rafa and Mª Luisa as the Major Masks of the Miguelturra Carnival.

A night of excitement not only for our upcoming Major Masks, but also for Mª Paz, the 2019 Major Mask, who received the affection of the entire club on her 65th birthday. Mª Paz, time stands still for you. Congratulations.

A beautiful tradition that is here to stay

Once the event at the Workers’ Centre was over and as has become traditional in recent years, the Carnival Monument received a visit from Berna and Esther in the company of Rafa, Mª Luisa and the Major Masks from previous years.

Mascarona and Alhiguí welcomed the delegation, giving their approval for Esther and Berna to be proclaimed Major Masks of the 2025 Miguelturra Carnival. On March 1st at the Carnival Palace, they will receive their bands that will officially accredit them as Major Masks.
