Carnival Monday among pets with “Leaving a mark”

XI Pet Contest “Leaving a Mark” 2026, organized by the Kapikúa Peña

Carnival Monday was in full swing, and we gathered once again at the Carnival Palace, hosted by the Kapikúa Association, for another edition of the “Leaving a Mark” contest. The competition kicked off at 4:30 p.m., and the most festive carnival mascots were ready to show off their best selves. The event was attended by local authorities: Luis Ramón Mohíno (Mayor of Miguelturra), Carmen María Mohíno (Councilor for Culture and Festivities), Luis Vinuesa (Councilor for Youth), and other council members. The carnival delegation was led by the 2025 and 2026 Major Masks: Juan Carlos, Miguel Ángel, Berna and Esther, as well as the president of the Carnival Association: Diego Rodríguez.

With great enthusiasm and an audience of all ages eagerly awaiting the event, we enjoyed watching our four-legged companions at this activity, which has now celebrated its first decade. Following the parade and the jury’s decision—comprised of one member of the club and two others from Simbiosis and Didi—the winners were announced.
