El Puntillo, Los Rocheros and El Mogollón triumph at the 39th edition of the Carnival Museum Costumes
2025 Carnival Museum Costume Contest
As the Miguelturra Carnival celebrates its 20th anniversary, we gather again at the Carnival Palace. It’s time for the 39th Carnival Museum Costume Competition. It was just after 9:00 PM when the costumes that we’ll be able to see in the Piñata Sunday parade began to appear on stage. The winning costumes can also be seen at the Carnival Museum (MOMO).
The prizes were the following:
Individual Suit:
Prize of 200 euros sponsored by Aquilice Cocinas: María Sánchez from the Peña El Mogollón of El Robledo (Ciudad Real) with “Resurfacing the Circus”.
Woman Suit:
Prize: 400 euros sponsored by Certrade: Los Rocheros, with “The Nereids and the Jewel of the Ocean”.
Man Suit:
Prize: 400 euros sponsored by the Novelec Group: Peña El Puntillo, with “Richelieu’s Guard”.
Previously, the awards for the 9th Carnival 2025 Window Display Competition were presented. This event has allowed local businesses to showcase the festive, carnival-like atmosphere that Miguelturra exudes during these dates.
The event was organised by Miguelturra Town Council. The jury awarded the following prizes:
Best Composition and Design, travel gift voucher valued at €100, redeemable at Viajes Rodrigo, sponsored by the Miguelturra City Council, for El Colmao.
Originality and Innovation, a travel gift voucher valued at €100, redeemable at Viajes Rodrigo, sponsored by the Miguelturra City Council for Óptica Lara.
Special Audience Award, a gift voucher redeemable at any establishment participating in the contest, sponsored by the Miguelturra City Council, for Bar Q Alivio.
All the winners received a carnival mask, a diploma and 30 advertising spots on Radio Miguelturra.
