Friday night progressed at the Miguelturra Carnival and, after the Carnival Museum Costume Contest, it was time for the 2026 Chirigotas and Comparsas Contest, a traditional contest that reaches its forty-second edition.

The participating groups were El Chinchón from Daimiel, Los Flamencos del Barranco from Torralba de Calatrava and Peña Los Cansaliebres from Miguelturra.

Music and lyrics that poured criticism, satire and plenty of carnival humor flooded this Carnival Palace on a night that made all the attendees who packed this space have a good time.

AWARDS XLII CHIRIGOTAS AND COMPARSAS CONTEST 2026:

1st Prize sponsored by the Peña Los Cansalibres, 800 euros, Los Flamencos del Barranco from Torralba de Calatrava.

2nd Prize sponsored by Nissan, 600 euros, Peña Los Cansalibres from Miguelturra.

3rd Prize sponsored by ITV Miguelturra, 500 euros, El Chichón from Daimiel.
