The imitations of Pimpinela, Alaska, Shakira and Carlos Vives, win the V Your Mask Sounds Familiar Contest

Organized by the Peña El Puntillo and with the collaboration of the City Council’s Youth area, the fifth Your Mask Sounds Familiar contest was held on Thursday at the Carnival Palace

Once again, the Carnival Palace was filled to witness the imitations of artists such as Pimpinela, Rosa López and members of Triumph operation, Carlos Vives, Shakira, Alaska…

The first prize in the children’s category went to the imitation of Shakira and Carlos Vives with the song The Bike, the second went to Alaska and Loquillo with the song El rhythm del garage and the third place went to Sweet California with the song Good Life. All the winners obtained a batch of school supplies valued at 50 euros, sponsored by MyPaper

The first prize in the individual adult category, worth 100 euros, went to the Alaska imitation and the second prize of 50 euros went to Amador Rivas with his Mandanga Style.

In the adult-group category, the Pimpinela imitation won the first prize worth 100 euros and the triumphs of OT and their Europe’s living a celebration won the second prize worth 50 Euros.

The adult category awards were sponsored by the Miguelturra City Council.

The awards ceremony was attended by the mayor of Miguelturra, Victoria Sobrino, Councilor for Celebrations, Diego Rodríguez, King of Carnival, Serafín Delgado, representatives of the stationery store MyPaper and Peña El Puntillo, Major Masks 2016, José Muñoz and Mercedes Rivas, and Major Masks of 2017, José Cañizares and Antonia Nieto.
