The traditional presentation dinner for the Carnival’s Major Masks was held in the presence of Guillermo Summers, the honorary town crier of the Miguelturra Carnival.

Victoria Sobrino, mayor of the town, Diego Rodríguez, councilor for celebrations, Serafín Delgado, King of the Carnival, Raúl Domínguez, president of the Miguelturra Carnival Association, Orestes and Mª Carmen, major masks of Carnival 2018, members of the Municipal Corporation, members of the peñas, Guillermo Summers and his wife Marita, who wanted to accompany and support those who will be the Major Masks of the Carnival 2019, Antonio Rodrigo and Mª Paz del Hierro.

Visit to the exhibition ‘This Carnival interests me’

Before the start of the dinner, the delegation was able to visit the exhibition ‘This Carnival interests me’. An exhibition that collects photographs from the Miguelturra Carnival photography contest since its beginning in 1999.

Before the start of the dinner, Victoria Sobrino, Serafín Delgado and Guillermo Summers spoke, congratulating the new couple of Major Masks of the Miguelturra Carnival and wishing them a happy journey in their new carnival stage.

Subsequently, Guillermo Summers addressed the attendees, indicating that he could not be present during the celebration of the declaration of national tourist interest. However, he did want to be present at this event as another churriego, since he carries Miguelturra in his heart and it is, without a doubt, his second town for him.

Around 400 people attended the dinner, tasting a menu prepared by the Casa Pepe Restaurant.
