VII Mask Race. “La Churriega”

The Street Mask takes the streets of Miguelturra on the second Saturday of Carnival. More than 400 participants in the mask race organized by the Association of Fondistas de Miguelturra.

From 5:00 p.m. a large group of street masks, Major Masks of 2018 and other years, Peñas and different groups of costumes were concentrated in the Plaza de la Constitución, to take the exit in a 2200 meter circuit, whose end was in the vicinity of the CERE, the most important thing in this non-competitive race is to have fun and go in disguise. This race brings us old memories of those years in which carnival was forbidden and where the races were not for fun, but to avoid detention by the serene and the civil guard, in addition to the corresponding fine. 

Once the race was over, the Carnival Palace served as a stage for the Association of Widows Our Lady of the Star, to distribute among the participants a delicious chocolate and delicious pastries, replenishing forces to participate in the Zumba Fitness Workshop taught by “Areté Fitness de Miguelturra” and in the Twerking Master Class of “Gerardo Just”, there were also raffled among the participants of the race, 3 monthly payments at the Areté Fitness Sports Center of Miguelturra valued at 175 euros and 2 pairs of sneakers sponsored by Twinner.
